Transformative Companies in America’s Supply Chain

The Search shines a spotlight on domestic fabricators and producers – the backbone of American manufacturing – all meeting growing demand for products Made in the U.S.

The Search will extend nationally in partnership with NIST MEP Centers, local and regional associations and other stakeholders, and core sponsors. 

Criteria & Judging

Nominees are continuously improving to provide world-class OEM products, contract manufacturing services, and enabling technologies to companies and brands. 

Manufacturers specify the criteria and judge the nominations.

Great American Supplier Search finalists will be announced June 2023.

How Nominees are selected:

1. Award winners from local, regional, and national manufacturing programs qualify automatically, from two broad categories:

The Machine Shop Economy

The Semiconductor Ecosystem

2. Self-nominations

Nominees are contract manufacturers, producers, material providers and tech enablers providing world-class OEM components, products, and services in company and industry supply chains.

3. Nominations by partners, customers, or colleagues (with permission from the company)

How Finalists & Winners are selected | Program Timeline

  • Current (2022) Awards winners and those recognized by June 1, 2023, are eligible for the 2023 Search
  • A national panel of manufacturers — volunteers and invitees — will select three finalists and 6 winners from 6 Search categories
  • Finalists will be announced June 16, 2023, at a national Search reception and celebration
  • Winners will be announced and celebrated at an event in Washington D.C., fall 2023
